Tungsten tailings are a product of tungsten ore and are waste generated during the process of extracting tungsten from tungsten ore. Due to the fact that tungsten tailings still contain a certain amount of tungsten, re processing them can recover tungsten resources and reduce environmental pollution. This article will introduce the working principle and operating steps of the tungsten tailings gravity separation equipment.
1、 Working principle of tungsten tailings gravity separation equipment
The tungsten tailings gravity separation equipment mainly includes vibrating screens, spiral classifiers, flotation machines, magnetic separators, and other equipment. Firstly, the tungsten tailings are sieved through a vibrating screen to remove impurities and stones. Then, the screened tungsten tailings are fed into a spiral classifier for classification treatment, in order to better carry out subsequent flotation and magnetic separation treatment.
Next, the graded tungsten tailings will be fed into a flotation machine for flotation treatment. In the flotation machine, a certain amount of reagent is added to the tungsten sand tailings to make them react with the air, so that the tungsten ore material in the tungsten sand tailings floats to the liquid surface to form foam, and then is collected.
Finally, the tungsten sand tailings that have undergone flotation treatment are sent to a magnetic separator for magnetic separation treatment. In a magnetic separator, magnetic substances are used to adsorb tungsten minerals onto magnetic substances, and then, through the action of a magnetic field, the magnetic substances are separated from the tungsten minerals adsorbed on them, thereby achieving the goal of recovering tungsten resources.
2、 Operating steps of tungsten tailings gravity separation equipment
1. Feed the tungsten sand tailings into a vibrating screen for screening to remove impurities and stones.
2. Feed the screened tungsten tailings into a spiral classifier for classification treatment.
3. Feed the graded tungsten tailings into a flotation machine for flotation treatment.
4. In the flotation machine, a certain amount of reagent is added to the tungsten sand tailings to make it react with the air, so that the tungsten ore material in the tungsten sand tailings floats to the liquid surface, forming foam, and then it is collected.
5. Send the tungsten sand tailings after flotation treatment into a magnetic separator for magnetic separation treatment.
6. In a magnetic separator, magnetic substances are used to adsorb tungsten minerals onto magnetic substances, and then, through the action of a magnetic field, the magnetic substances are separated from the tungsten minerals adsorbed on them, thereby achieving the goal of recovering tungsten resources.
III. Summary
Tungsten tailings gravity separation equipment is an important equipment for recovering tungsten resources. Its working principle is to classify, flotation, and magnetic separation tungsten tailings through equipment such as vibrating screens, spiral classifiers, flotation machines, and magnetic separators, thereby achieving the recovery of tungsten resources. During operation, it is necessary to follow the correct steps to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and maximize the recycling effect.
